Kyle Barton, Licensed Acupuncturist
Kyle Barton is a licensed acupuncturist and has a second degree black belt. He practices accupuncture at Bamboo Field Acupuncture & Herbs. He is from Lincoln, NE and has enjoyed resided in Austin for the past four years.

Susan Steffes, PT, CD(DONA)
Susan Steffes is dedicated to promoting optimal Women’s Health through prevention and treatment of pelvic pain/dysfunction through her gentle hands-on approach. Her specialized training includes the American Physical Therapy Association’s, Section on Women’s Health, Pelvic Physical Therapy and OB/GYN Therapy certification courses. As a Women’s Health PT, childbirth educator, birth activist, and certified birth doula, Susan promotes evidence-based, mother-friendly maternity and post-partum care. She is available to see women for the treatment of pregnancy/postpartum pain, vaginal/vulvar pain, pelvic pain/dysfunction, and incontinence issues.

Sandy Garcia, MD
Dr. Garcia is a pediatric emergency medicine specialist practicing at Dell
Children's Hospital. She completed her pediatric training at the University
of California, Irvine and fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital in
Houston. After training, she returned to her hometown of Austin and has
practiced here for the last 10 years. In addition to practicing emergency
medicine, she volunteers with international medical agencies throughout
Central, South America and Asia.

Through her experience in international medicine, Dr. Garcia has developed
an interest in complementary medicine. Most recently, through her own
fertility journey, she has developed an interest in complimentary fertility
treatments. She is the Medical Director of the Conscious Fertility
Cooperative, practitioners devoted to the care and treatment of women with
fertility challenges. She brings her knowledge and experience of western
medicine as it relates to eastern complimentary treatments.

Sarai Stapleton, AXIS Acupuncture & Conscious Fertility Co-op
Sarai, a licensed Dipl. Of Oriental Medicine, owns Axis Acupuncture of Austin and specializes in fertility challenges and reproductive health. She is an inaugural fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine, and began her practice initially with Randine Lewis, founder of the Fertile Soul and author of The Infertility Cure.

Sarai created Conscious Fertility Co-op as a means to empower women in their journey to conceive by providing resources that are educated in modern medicine and steeped in ancient tradition to help optimize fertility.

Andrew Cassidy, DPM, MS
Dr. Cassidy is a strong proponent of conservative care. He approaches his patient’s foot and ankle pathology at Lone Star Podiatry in a conservative manner when appropriate. Dr. Cassidy is comfortable treating infants to the elderly for all their foot and ankle problems. He has a strong surgical background and a great bedside manner. With extended hours, Dr. Cassidy and his staff look forward to caring for the podiatric needs of people in the Austin and surrounding areas.

Megumi Uppena, L. Ac., MAOM, Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)
Megumi Uppena of Bamboo Field Acupuncture and Herb is a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Austin, TX. She believes health is achieved by having a balance between human (you) and the universe (what is going on around you), mind and body. Diseases are a manifestation of imbalance. She practices combinations of Oriental medical modalities, such as acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, nutritional consultation and Chinese herbal prescriptions. These treatments help you to maintain your health and prevent diseases.

Kristy Demers, DPT
Kristy Demers of Your Personal Best Physical Therapy received her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis and her Bachelors degree in Motor Development/ Kinesiology from Texas A&M University. She also has her Pilates certification from Peak Pilates. Kristy bases her treatment on the fact that repetitive movements and sustained postures can alter the ideal movement patterns of the body, thus adversely affecting the surrounding tissues and contributing to pain. Kristy enjoys helping individuals achieve correct movement patterns to not only address the source of pain, but the cause. Kristy lives here in Austin with her husband, and she enjoys exercising, Pilates, water sports, and spending time with her family and friends.
